•   OA&Rclient David Ho, MD, AIDS researcher, named Time magazine's "Man of the Year".

•   O&MPRhosts first-ever commercial event at the Forbidden City to launch the Land Rover.

•   O&MPRlaunches the Ford Taurus in China, one of the country's largest mass-marketing campaigns to date.

•   OA&Ruser study, presented at the American Society for Bone Mineral Research, demonstrates for the first time that osteoporosis can be prevented with the use of Merck's Fosamax.

•   OA&Rpublicizes Chiron's landmark AIDS research that established the validity of viral load as the most precise marker of the HIV disease.

•   OA&Rcampaign "AIDS—It's Your Business," becomes the single largest generator of calls to CDC's hotline and receives more than $6M of print and broadcast advertising—24 times the client's investment in the campaign. As a result, the firm goes on to create the "Business Responds to AIDS" (BRTA) campaign.
