Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau Appoints Steven Rice of Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide to its Board of Directors

ATLANTA – June 25, 2009 – The Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau(ACVB) appointed Steven Rice, vice president, Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide to its board of directors earlier this month. Rice brings with him 15 years of professional experience in tourism, entertainment and consumer communications to the board.

Rice, a resident of Midtown Atlanta is an enthusiast of area dining, events and attractions. As Vice President at Ogilvy PR, Rice heads the consumer brands practice, which includes pro bono work for the ACVB. During the last two years Ogilvy PR has assisted the Bureau on a variety of programs, such as a press tour to promote Atlanta as a destination for a “Girlfriend Getaway” and a media tour throughout the southeast to advocate summer vacations in Atlanta.
