Atlanta, GA — June 9, 2005 — The Brand Atlanta Campaign today announced the selection of Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide as its public relations agency of record. Ogilvy PR’s Atlanta office will collaborate with the Campaign’s advertising agency partners, Grey Worldwide Atlanta and Lattimer Moffitt Communications, and the Campaign’s volunteer committees to launch and promote a brand identity campaign. This new campaign will position Atlanta as a business, tourism, and lifestyle destination and will support objectives outlined in the city’s New Century Economic Development Plan.
Ogilvy PR/Atlanta will execute the public relations and communications components of the overall integrated marketing plan developed by the Campaign’s Marketing Strategy and Communications Committees. The selection of Ogilvy PR follows an extensive search that included many of Atlanta’s leading agencies.

About the Agency Selection Process
In addition to its responsibilities in developing the integrated marketing plan, the Campaign’s Communications Committee oversaw the agency selection process. Agencies were screened and selected based on a variety of criteria, including experience in grass roots and brand building activities, media relations capabilities, strategic thinking and evaluation skills, and previous case studies.
“The agency search process was exhaustive and covered many of the metro Atlanta-based agencies,” said Jackson Kelly, executive director, the Brand Atlanta Campaign. “We employed rigorous screening criteria which included written and oral presentations and site visits to ensure the agency selection process was objective, transparent, and well-managed.”

Launched in February 2005, the Brand Atlanta Campaign is a public/private initiative charged with creating a new, compelling brand identity and integrated marketing plan for Atlanta.
