New York, N.Y., March 31, 2010 – Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide (Ogilvy PR), an integrated global communications firm, announced today that Eric Slutsky has been appointed Executive Vice President/Group Director of the agency’s New York Consumer Marketing practice.
“With his experience, strategic thinking and leadership, Eric will continue to strengthen the New York consumer marketing practice,” said Kate Cronin, managing director of Ogilvy PR/New York. “I am confident that Eric will contribute to other areas of the office and integrate on 360-degree engagements within the various divisions of the Ogilvy Group. Slutsky has over 20 years of agency experience, six of which have been with Ogilvy PR. He specializes in creating and executing strategic, integrated public relations campaigns that drive consumer engagement and participation, and has a particular expertise in the area of food and nutrition. In his new role, he will manage the New York Consumer Marketing group, be in charge of new business development and contribute across practices in the areas of strategy and creative development. He will also continue in his current role as client-relationship manager for all of the agency’s Unilever work.
“In the six years that I’ve been with Ogilvy, I’ve watched the New York Consumer Marketing group grow by leaps and bounds, and develop a level of sophistication that’s become the envy of the industry,” he said. “I look forward to leading the group as it begins the next chapter in its expansion.”
Slutsky has worked with some of America’s most recognized and trusted brands, including Unilever’s Lipton, Slim-Fast, Bertolli Frozen, Bertolli Sauce, and Knorr. Prior to Ogilvy PR, Eric worked at Weber Shandwick and Edelman.
Slutsky graduated from Boston University’s College of Communication, earning a degree in mass communications and journalism. He lives in New Jersey and is the proud father of two young sons.
