The Federalist Group Names Julie Dammann as Senior Vice President for Federal Affairs

Seasoned Congressional Adviser Has Supported Senator Bond on Wealth of Issues and Processes

Washington, DC, November 15, 2005 – The Federalist Group today announced that Julie Dammann, former Chief of Staff to Senator Christopher S. Bond, has joined its Washington, D.C. office as Senior Vice President for Federal Affairs. Dammann began her career with Senator Bond in 1987 and became his Chief of Staff in 1997. At the Federalist Group, she will focus on all areas of federal government relations, including but not limited to congressional relations.

As Chief of Staff to Senator Bond from 1997-2005, Dammann also served as a spokesperson for the Senator and was the primary contact for Senate and House Leadership staff, key Administration and White House staff and key Committee staff. Dammann served as primary advisor to Senator Bond for his Appropriations committee work, in particular the Transportation, Treasury and HUD Appropriations Subcommittee, as well as the Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Environment and Public Works.

When Senator Bond served as chairman of Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Environment and Public Works, Dammann was involved in day to day negotiations on the six year Highway Bill. Dammann brings extensive knowledge of transportation, treasury and housing polices; as well as budget, tax and appropriations process to the Federalist Group’s diverse client base.

Dammann brings over 23 years of experience on Capitol Hill. She began her work in Senate as an intern to Senator Rudy Boschwitz and came to Washington in 1982 as a legislative assistant for Senator Rudy Boschwitz. Dammann earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from the University of Minnesota. Dammann, a Minnesota native, currently resides in Arlington, Virginia with her husband Rolf and two daughters.
