New York, NY, January 21, 2004 — Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide today announced that Lorra Brown has been promoted to group director of the consumer marketing practice in New York.
For the past two years, Ms. Brown has been an integral part of the expanding New York consumer marketing team, heading up a number of the group’s largest clients, including Cendant Travel Distribution Services and the American Red Cross Save a Life Tour, which was the largest blood drive initiative in their history. In addition, Lorra’s team has also recently handled assignments for Target Stores, Jackson Hewitt, and Virgin Atlantic Airways.
“Lorra brings an outstanding balance of experience, poise, and leadership to her new position within the consumer marketing team,” said Kym White, managing director of the New York office. “Over the last several months we have seen increased activity in the consumer marketing sector overall. With Lorra in the lead, we are positioned to continue on this growth path.”
The consumer marketing practice at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide has had substantial growth over the past year, with new clients including LG Electronics, Cheaptickets.com, Pizza Hut, Giant Bicycles, True Beginnings, Johnsonville Sausage, Lodging.com, and DuPont. With this growth and similar growth across all practices, Ogilvy Public Relations is hiring at all levels, across all offices in the US.
