Chicago, IL, April 28, 2010 — Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide (Ogilvy PR), an integrated global communications firm, announced today the appointment of Suzanne O’Leary Lopez to executive vice president and group director of the agency’s Chicago Corporate practice. Nathan Friedman previously held the position, before his promotion in January to managing director.
With more than 18 years of corporate communications and public relations experience in the financial and technology sectors, Lopez will help to lead business development efforts, provide senior counsel to clients, and oversee the growing corporate practice in Chicago.

Prior to joining Ogilvy PR, Lopez served as Assistant Vice President of Public Relations and Corporate Communications at Thornburg Mortgage, Inc., where she developed and implemented corporate positioning and reputation management programs, and served as the primary spokesperson for the company. Lopez’s previous work experience also includes agency roles in both London and Chicago, including Weber Shandwick and Ruder Finn. Lopez has worked with a variety of clients across a number of industries, including Dun & Bradstreet, Reuters, Monster.com, Polaroid, Open TV and The Press Association.

Lopez holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Iowa.
