Chicago, Ill, September 20, 2005 - The Chicago office of Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide (Ogilvy PR), a leading global communications firm, announced today that it recently added three new consumer marketing clients to the office’s roster - the YWCA of Metropolitan Chicago, SelectBlinds.com and Steak n Shake.
“The addition of these three regional and national brand leaders contributes to this office’s growing reputation as a top consumer marketing shop in the Midwest,” said Betsy Neville, managing director of the firm’s Chicago office. “These new clients join our roster of other well-known brands including Lipton Tea, Johnsonville Sausage, Playmobil and Bausch & Lomb and we are delighted to have them on board.
Beginning last month, the YWCA of Metropolitan Chicago hired Ogilvy PR as its agency of record to handle strategic PR activities specializing in ending racism and empowering women in Chicago. This assignment includes handling the YWCA’s media relations and general visibility efforts, as well as supporting two of its core annual events: the Leader Luncheon and the Day of Commitment to Eliminate Racism.
The office has also been hired by SelectBlinds.com, an online retailer of blinds and window treatments in the consumer and DIY (do-it-yourself) arena, to help it “shed some light” by building name recognition and driving traffic to SelectBlinds.com.
Finally, the office was recently awarded a three-month project from the company that is “Famous for Steakburgers,”® - The Steak n Shake Company. The Ogilvy PR Chicago office will support the launch of two new Halloween themed milk shakes, Caramel Apple and Dark Chocolate Double Fudge, in more than 400 Steak n Shake restaurants in 19 states.
