New York, NY, April 18, 2006 - Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide (Ogilvy PR) today announced that leading industry researcher, Dr. Jennifer Scott has joined the agency as Managing Director of Insights and Research. In her new role, Dr. Scott will be a part of the firm’s Strategy + Planning division, a team of very senior counselors. She will drive the growth and development of the agency’s primary research capabilities. In addition, Dr. Scott will work closely with practice leaders to inform business development and enhance programming for existing clients.

Throughout her 14-year career, Dr. Scott has delivered research based communications to a variety of corporate clients including GE, AstraZeneca and Swiss Re, enabling them to better navigate the competitive and regulatory landscape, develop and refine corporate reputation, and create compelling advertising and communications. She has also driven the branding and marketing strategies for consumer products and services clients such as Unilever and Charles Schwab and contributed to the development of entertainment products for clients including Disney and the Jim Henson Company. Dr. Scott has also provided strategic analysis of foreign and domestic public policy environments to inform the development of communications campaigns for such clients as PhRMA, the Recording Academy and USAID in Russia and Romania. In the non-profit sector, she has helped craft communications for clients including the American Heart Association and the National Constitution Center.
Dr. Scott holds a B.A. in Politics and Psychology from the University of Natal in South Africa and a Ph.D. in Politics from Oxford University, England.
Prior to joining Ogilvy PR, she was president of StrategyOne, Edelman’s specialist research company.
