Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide Adds TIAA-CREF to Client Roster

Sacramento, CA, June 11, 2002 — Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide today announced the addition of Fortune 100 company TIAA-CREF to its client roster.

Ogilvy PR/Sacramento will conduct media relations and outreach for TIAA-CREF targeting California’s education community and the state’s financial media.

“TIAA-CREF is a jewel in our education crown,” noted Alicia Ritter, national education group head. “This win is sound acknowledgement of Ogilvy PR’s leadership in California’s education arena.” “The Ogilvy Team clearly demonstrated they have the talent we need to help us reach our communications objectives,” said Steve Ludwig, public relations director for TIAA-CREF’s western region in Denver. “It was important that the firm we worked with knew the issues facing educators and educational institutions and the California marketplace. Ogilvy PR clearly fit the bill.”

Ogilvy PR this week announced the formation of its National Education Group, boasting such clients as the U.S. Department of Education, the California Office of the Secretary for Education, Los Angeles Community College District, MasterCard International and the University of Illinois Medical Center, among others.

TIAA-CREF is a leading financial services organization with approximately $273 billion in assets under management. In addition to being the premier pension system for education and research institutions, TIAA-CREF offers mutual funds, annuities, and trust services to the general public, and is the leading manager of state-sponsored college savings programs.
