Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide Names Jim Heininger Executive Vice President

Chicago – April 23, 2008 – Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide (Ogilvy PR), an integrated global communications firm, announced today that Jim Heininger has joined the agency as executive vice president based in the agency's Chicago office. With more than 25 years of brand communications experience, Heininger will provide senior counsel across all practice groups and lead business development efforts on behalf of the agency.

"Jim's experience working on blue-chip brands across a range of corporate brands and consumer lifestyle categories fits very well with our growing client portfolio," said Mike Hatcliffe, managing director of Ogilvy PR's Chicago office. Prior to joining Ogilvy PR, Heininger served as a management and communications consultant for McDonald's Corporation, addressing nutrition-related brand issues.

Heininger's previous work experience also includes serving as partner/general manager of Porter Novelli's Chicago office, and working as senior vice president and associate director with Ketchum, where he spent 13 years leading consumer and service brand marketing practice groups. Heininger has worked with a variety of clients including: food and beverage products-P&G, General Mills, Miller Brewing Company, Anheuser-Busch and Kraft; food service-McDonald's and Wendy's; consumer packaged goods-Rand McNally, P&G and Jockey; professional service providers-A.T. Kearney and Hewitt Associates; health care institutions-St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and University of Iowa Hospitals; electronics-Motorola and Nextel; and service organizations-Lions Clubs International and The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.

Heininger received a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Iowa. He previously served as chairman of the board for the Make-A-Wish Foundation in Illinois, and currently serves on its chairman leadership counsel. Adding retail experience to his public relations background, Heininger and his wife own a home furnishings and design business in Oak Park, Ill., where they reside.
