Rori Goldin, Linda Carilli and Carrie Jones Join Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide

New York, NY, November 10, 2004 — Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide today announced the arrival of three senior employees to its New York Health & Medical Practice: Rori Goldin as Senior Vice President, Linda Carilli as Vice President and Carrie Jones as Vice President. All three newcomers bring to the agency long experience and deep expertise in pharmaceutical public relations.

Rori Goldin, in public relations for 14 years, specializes in consumer-focused health care campaigns. Most recently, as Senior Vice President at Porter Novelli, she managed programs for GlaxoSmithKline’s Nicorette and NicoDerm CQ and Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories’ Effexor XR. Goldin also led GSK’s award-winning Great American Smokeout, a campaign co-promoted with the American Cancer Society, and proved instrumental in the success of the Coalition for World No Tobacco Day. Previously, as Vice President at Patrice Tanaka & Company, Inc., Goldin developed special expertise in beauty products for Avon, Clairol and other clients. Goldin graduated cum laude from Iona College with a B.B.A. in Marketing.

Linda Carilli, a registered dietician, joins Ogilvy PR from Weight Watchers International, Inc, where she served as General Manager, Public Affairs, for 13 years. As such, she directed all corporate communications functions, including consumer affairs and government relations. Among her achievements was launching Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, as a spokesperson. She also created the national public health education program, “Weight Watchers Health Watch 2000.” Previously, Carilli held roles at Ketchum Public Relations, the Good Housekeeping Institute and Tufts Medical Center. She holds a B.S. in Foods and Nutrition from Rutgers University and an M.S. in Nutrition and Marketing Communications from Boston University.

Carrie Jones returns to Ogilvy PR, where she recently led the “Talking Wellness” program with motivational guru Tony Robbins for Merck’s Emend, among other accomplishments. Previously, she served with Edelman Public Relations Worldwide and the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists. Jones graduated from Moorhead State University with a B.S. in Mass Communications.
