Washington D.C., October 17, 2006 - Six Apart Ltd. and Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide’s 360° Digital Influence team announced today a partnership to launch two programs that will increase the adoption of enterprise and personal blogging. These programs will feature events in cities across the country and are designed to train professional communicators on integrating the next level of blogging into their business or personal blogging ventures.

Vox–style Blogging

  • The first program will introduce digital influencers to Six Apart’s new Vox personal blogging service and the expanding model of public/private blog networks.
  • Vox empowers bloggers to control who sees content and integrate all forms of multimedia into their blogs.
  • The program will launch in Fall 2006 with a nationwide tour including events in Boston and San Francisco.
  • This series builds on the success of similar events held this summer in Washington, DC, New York and Chicago to introduce Vox with engaging meet-ups of professionals working in social media.

Business Blogging Seminar Series

  • The second program, also happening this Fall and into 2007, is a business blogging seminar series that gives communications and marketing professionals advanced knowledge of how to increasingly integrate social media into many parts of their business.
  • These invite-only sessions offer hands-on and strategic knowledge from Ogilvy’s 360° Digital Influence team and Six Apart.
  • Each seminar will address industry-specific issues about leveraging blogs within a business’s enterprise.
  • The Washington, DC seminar will focus on politics, advocacy and association communications.
  • In San Francisco, the focus will be on technology, corporate communications and strategy.
  • Together, the two companies will drive these education initiatives forward in cities across the country and build a network of communication professionals who are ready to engage others with the latest iteration of social media.
