Systems Union Picks Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide in China

Beijing, China, March 6, 2002 — Systems Union, a worldwide leader in financial and business management software, appointed Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide today to be its Consultancy of record in China. Ogilvy PR will be tasked with building the Systems Union brand, and its SunSystems software, in China through market consultancy, media relations and executive visibility programs.

The selection comes in a competitive review of public relations firms in China and expands upon Ogilvy PR’s existing relationship with Systems Union in Hong Kong. “Our aim is to help Systems Union capture marketshare in China as companies look to upgrade their financial systems,” commented Scott Kronick, managing director of Ogilvy PR in China. “We’re delighted with the selection and have a team already in place in Shanghai and Beijing to service Systems Union.”

“We selected Ogilvy PR because of their strategic capability in grasping our need and the synergies offered in Hong Kong and China,” commented Miranda Chan, marketing director, Asia for Systems Union. “Systems Union enjoys strong brand recognition in the CFO community in Hong Kong and we’re looking to replicate that success in China.” The Systems Union team will be led by technology director Stephen Turner in Beijing, with support from Sammi Han, senior associate in Beijing, and in Shanghai, Helen Han, senior consultant, and Newman Tang, consultant, respectively.
