New York, NY, August 15, 2005 — Ogilvy PR Worldwide today announced that Therese Caruso has joined the firm as Executive Vice President, Strategy + Planning. Prior to joining Ogilvy PR, Caruso served as Senior Vice President in the consumer division of Edelman Public Relations.

Caruso has extensive experience in consumer and brand marketing, including re-branding campaigns, new product introductions, image enhancement programs, nutrition/health education, consumer health campaign, advocacy relations, crisis communications and cause-related marketing. Over the past five years, she developed a specialty in marketing campaigns directed at women. She created several award-winning programs for a number of Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products, including teen-directed outreach for o.b. tampons, a Mom-directed initiative for Johnson’s Baby, and a campaign to encourage better oral care habits for life directed at both of those audiences for Reach oral care products. Caruso also spearheaded work with H.J. Heinz, Nestle Foods, Hershey, Proctor & Gamble, Weight Watchers, Kraft, Barilla pasta, Wyeth’s Centrum and the Italian Trade Commission.
In her new role at Ogilvy PR, Caruso will focus on client and new business development across all of the agency’s practice areas, with a particular focus on consumer marketing, healthcare and corporate communications. She will be based in New York but have other assignments and responsibilities across the United States. She reports jointly to Kym White and Steve Dahllof, Managing Director and head of the agency’s Strategy + Planning group.
Caruso holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Barnard College.
