Marketers are supposed to be great storytellers, but often we end up just being great liars. Most of us have a love-hate relationship with storytelling. We know it’s something we should be doing and that stories work for engagement, but it’s way easier to just do ads and focus on conversion rates. At least you can report that easily into a spreadsheet. But dozens of studies have proved over and over that stories are the most powerful form of communications because they appeal to our emotions – and people are emotional decision makers. When it comes to actually influencing your customers to DO SOMETHING, there is no more powerful form of marketing than storytelling.
