15 April 2013–Ogilvy PR agency veteran Jeff Chertack has been appointed Regional Corporate Practice Director for Memac Ogilvy PR’s MENA region. Chertack will be based out of the award-winning agency’s recently inaugurated Doha office.
Most recently, Chertack served as managing director of Ogilvy Public Relations in Brussels. There, he steered the growth of the office’s relationship with the European Parliament and increased collaboration with the global Ogilvy PR network, serving global client needs in the European Union capital.

Chertack’s announcement follows the appointment of Ema Linaker to the regional consumer and social media practice position based in Dubai. The staffing additions build on Memac Ogilvy’s strong PR growth in the region.In his role, Chertack will work with Memac Ogilvy PR’s clients to provide strategic counsel and practical advice on matters of reputation and corporate communications, as well as continue to develop the agency’s offer in this area.

He is a co-founder of the agency’s Health Policy Group, and writer and speaker on topics including behavior change and sustainability communications. His work for corporations, governments and NGOs has earned industry accolades, including being named to the “40 under 40” list of professionals to watch by PRWeek.
