LONDON – 3rd June 2013 – Ogilvy Public Relations/London is proud to announce the appointment of Simone Drewry to help lead brand marketing strategies, and to continue to build on the growth of the agency’s consumer practice.
Drewry joins from Kaper, where she was Managing Director, and brings with her a wealth of experience working across numerous major global consumer brands, including Volkswagen, McDonald’s, Emirates and MasterCard.
Drewry boasts a 15-year career in communications, with a deep expertise in sponsorship activation and PR. She has worked across multiple markets, including Australia and the US, for firms including WPP agency PPR, Zing USA, and DDB’s PR arm Mango. Most notably, over the past five years, while Managing Director of Mango, Drewry was the youngest woman to sit on the board of DDB Australia, where she was key to building an integrated brand communications model and steered Mango to win Agency of the Year three times. She was also the founder and Deputy Chair of Australian industry body the Public Relations Council and has judged both the Cannes Lions and Clio awards.
