Feinstein Kean Healthcare Wins Silver SABRE Award in Biotechnology Category

Event for Oxford GlycoSciences Earns National Honor for Cambridge-based Healthcare Communications Firm

Cambridge, MA, June 13, 2002 — Feinstein Kean Healthcare (FKH), an Ogilvy PR Worldwide Company and leading healthcare and biotechnology communications firm, has been awarded a national Silver SABRE award for its public relations efforts on behalf of Oxford GlycoSciences (OGS). Based in the United Kingdom, OGS is a biopharmaceutical company applying integrated proteomics and genomics for the discovery, development and commercialization of therapeutic products. FKH’s entry won the Silver SABRE, the highest award for industry-specific work, in the biotechnology category. The award was recently presented to FKH at an awards ceremony held in New York City.

The award recognized FKH’s work on behalf of OGS to increase its U.S. visibility by organizing a corporate showcase event, “Proteomics at Warp Speed,” that allowed the biopharmaceutical company to highlight its industry-leading technology advances to key audiences in the business, science and trade media, as well as current and potential pharmaceutical and biotechnology partners and members of the investment community.

“Through this strategic event, OGS was able to increase its visibility substantially within the U.S. and position the Company as a leading proteomics and drug development company,” said FKH managing director Patricia Jones. “We are extremely pleased that the Company’s goal of reaching its desired audiences with its key messages was achieved, and we are honored by the recognition we have received from our peers within the public relations industry.”

The SABRE (Superior Excellence in Branding and Reputation) Awards recognize public relations efforts that demonstrate the highest standards of strategic thinking, innovation, integrity, and effectiveness. The awards are sponsored by the Holmes Group, an analyst firm for the public relations industry, and are judged by industry leaders on the agency and corporate sides of the business.

The OGS showcase meeting team included FKH executive vice president Michelle Linn, vice president Michael Lawson, account supervisor Matt Audette and assistant account executive Hemal Parikh.
