New York, NY, October 27, 2004 — Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide today announced the addition of Katharine Childress as an Executive Vice President in the New York Health & Medical Practice. Childress brings a diversity of experience in branding as well as consumer, pharmaceutical and social marketing public relations.

Childress’ public relations career began more than twenty years ago, during which time she has held many different leadership roles. Most recently, as a Senior Vice President/Partner of Fleishman-Hillards’ Healthcare Group, Childress managed multiple pharmaceutical accounts and was a senior branding, social marketing and DTC strategist within the Fleishman-Hillard network. She has worked with a broad range of clients, including AstraZeneca, Abbott, DuPont, Monsanto, BASF, New Jersey Department of Health & Senior Services, Ocean Spray and Kodak.
Numerous industry accolades have been awarded to client programs managed by Childress’, including the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Silver Anvil Awards, the PRSA Health Academy Innovation Awards, the New York City PRSA Big Apple Awards and the SABRE Awards.

A graduate of Dickinson College, Childress received a Bachelor of Arts in English.
