Martin Liptrot appointed CEO of Ogilvy PR Europe Africa Middle East

January 2, 2006: Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide (Ogilvy PR) has appointed Martin Liptrot as Regional CEO, Europe, Africa and Middle East (EAME). Liptrot, 39, joins Ogilvy PR from FedEx Corporation where he was Managing Director of Global Communications based in Memphis, US.

Liptrot brings a strong international perspective having managed global Corporate, Public Affairs and CSR programs for Fortune 100 companies. Most recently, at FedEx Corp. he led a global team of 50 communications professionals supporting the CEO and worldwide senior executive team. Liptrot also worked at NY-based Altria Corporate Services, formerly Philip Morris Management Corporation, and at Philip Morris International headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland where he led communications in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Liptrot also devised media campaigns for the UK Labour Party in the 1994 European and 1997 General Election and remains close to leading figures within government.
