WASHINGTON, DC, JANUARY 31, 2012 – Ogilvy Washington (Ogilvy) and the Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) announced today the launch of a program that will provide up to 12 young professionals (Latinos On Fast Track (LOFT) Communications Fellows) access to professional communications mentors. The initial three-month program aims to connect emerging Latino communications professionals with an established communications professional from the global communications agency, Ogilvy, in a mentoring relationship. The program will be conducted in English, Spanish and/or bilingually depending on the preference of each mentor-mentee pair.

Not only is Ogilvy exposing our youth to the nuances of a dynamic industry, through their employees they are providing guidance, connectivity and inspiration to a clear career path,” he added.
From March through May 2012, the LOFT Communications Fellows and Ogilvy will participate in weekly touch-base telephone calls to discuss topics of interest and for Ogilvy mentors to give communications counsel; meet one-on-one on a monthly basis; and through social media and email, stay connected throughout the three-month period.
