Chicago−April 18, 2012 – Social@Ogilvy, a recently launched Ogilvy & Mather practice connecting the agency’s social media experts globally to deliver solutions across all areas of business, today announced the appointment of Senior Vice President Linda Saindon. An accomplished marketing and social media strategist with more than 15 years experience, Saindon will apply her combined consumer and digital background to developing innovative campaigns for Ogilvy clients.
“Following our official Social@Ogilvy launch last month, Linda will help shape our rapidly expanding practice and join our mission to redefine how brands engage with and incorporate social media into their business and communications strategies across all PR, advertising and marketing disciplines,” said John Bell, Global managing director, Social@Ogilvy.
Reporting to Nathan Friedman, managing director of Ogilvy PR/Chicago, Saindon brings expertise in consumer packaged goods and retail verticals, social media/WOM marketing, CRM and web/email marketing to her new role along with a seasoned knowledge of the consumer marketing industry, especially food & beverage and consumer products. Prior to joining Social@Ogilvy, Saindon served as General Manager, Online Business Unit and Director, Social Media at Sears Holdings Corporation where she directed and activated social media marketing strategies for Sears and Kmart brands.
“Linda expands our social and digital capabilities with her deep consumer lifestyle expertise. Her experience will help our clients to strengthen programming and the link between traditional social programming and other marketing functions, such as CRM and digital shopper marketing,” said Friedman.
Saindon has held positions at Kraft Foods, ConAgra Foods, and J. Brown & Associates with past clients including The Clorox Company and Proctor & Gamble, among others. In her role as a consultant to Kraft, her responsibilities included leadership of their WOM marketing program and the launch of “Kraft First Taste,” a performance-based program to drive brand loyalty, advocacy and engagement.
Saindon received a BA in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and earned a CRM certificate from De Paul University. She is a member of the American Marketing Association.
